More than 30 Years of Experience
After completing his Bachelor of Applied Science (Geodesy - Surveying), Benoît Péloquin worked as a land surveyor with another firm in Montreal. He opened his own office in 1991 on the West Island, and the team now includes 8 employees.
President's award
Benoît Péloquin was selected to receive the prestigious President's award in 2018 directly from the hands of the president of the OAGQ, Mr. Jean Taschereau. This prize is awarded to highlight a person's important contributions to the affairs of the Order.
He has also been involved in the Order as an editor in the "Géomatique" journal and as an administrator on the board of directors. He has also served on the Order's disciplinary board for the last five years.
He was chosen on account of his involvement over the course of the past year. Mr. Péloquin was particularly active in the case of the floodings in Québec, his involvement in various consultations conducted by the Order to publicly take position on the subject deserved to be recognized.
He became a member of the committee specifically to define the actions with regards to acquisitive prescription in the past year. Additionally, he is involved in a joint committee between the OAGQ and the Chambre des notaires du Québec to help advance cases of mutual interest to the two Orders.
The Succession
In 2013, Paul Deschamps completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Geomatics Sciences) at Université Laval.
In 2014, he was admitted to the Ordre des arpenteurs-géomètres du Québec (Order of Land Surveyors of Quebec). He worked for a land surveying firm on the South Shore of Montreal during his first two years in the workforce.
It was in 2015 that he joined the team at Benoît Péloquin Arpenteur-géomètre inc. From 2015 to 2019, he held several positions within the company. In 2020, he became a partner at Benoît Péloquin Arpenteur-géomètre inc.
